Hollywood Temple Beth El Celebrates Sukkoth with a  BBQ and Sukkah Karaoke at Sunset on Sunset

Celebrate the joyful festival of Sukkot with Bar-B-Que, Music, Song and Joyful Celebration  in the Sukkah on Sunday, October 13, 2019 from 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM at Hollywood Temple Beth El.

Our master chef will fire up the barbecue at 5:00 pm with a choice of Fish, Chicken, Chicken or Veggie burgers. Join in celebrating Sukkoth in our Sukkah, led by Rabbi Norbert Weinberg and Cantor Andrew Erman, followed by Jewish and Israeli Karaoke.

Barbecue dinner is $14 for members, $18 for non-members. $10 for students and $8 for Children 1 2 & under when ordered and paid in advance. Deadline: Sept.20!

The Sukkoth festival commemorates the march of the ancient people of Israel across the Sinai from Egyptian slavery to freedom in the Land of Israel. It is marked by gathering in booths, Sukkoth, covered by branches, reflecting the ideal of the peaceful protection of God.  It also marks appreciation of the fall harvest and the coming winter rains.

Shmini Atzeret, “ 8th Day of Assembly” services, marking the closing of the festival season that began with Rosh Hashanah, and Memorial Yizkor services, Monday, Oct.21, 9:45 AM
